The Gathering 2025: Recapping PSA’s Annual Range Day
PSA recently hosted their annual range day in Clinton, SC on March 20th and 21st at the Clinton House Plantation. It was a ton of fun, and with dozens of different vendors there were more guns than you could possibly shoot. Not to mention that the weather was immaculate – PSA really couldn’t have asked for a better weekend to host this.
There were over 50 vendors between the shooting bays and the exhibition tent. There was a pretty broad representation of different companies at The Gathering this year. Of course, you had your Glock, Sig Sauer, Beretta, HK, etc., but there were also some other companies like DS Arms and PTR which was great as you don’t usually get as many chances to test out their products.
Introduction
The annual range day provided an exciting atmosphere with plenty of activities and opportunities to try out various firearms. This event brought together enthusiasts from all over, making it a memorable weekend for everyone involved.
The Clay Courses
Perhaps the most fun part of The Gathering was shooting clays and testing out different shotguns from Beretta and Benelli. The lines were massive – especially for Benelli – so much so that the queue was long enough to discourage many from waiting. Beretta’s booth, with its shorter line, showcased a great selection of shotguns ranging from A300’s to a 688, with the 686 Silver Pigeon standing out due to its striking laser-engraved pattern.

The HK G36… in .22LR
One of the most notable moments of the first day was encountering HK’s display featuring a beautifully laid-out G36. HK announced their new G36 for the civilian market on the same day as the event kickoff and even brought a sample for attendees to try. Naturally, I hadn’t heard of this before seeing it in person.

As many of you probably already know, the announcement came with a major caveat. It was hard to overstate the disappointment when the HK representative revealed that this G36 would be exclusively chambered in… .22LR. Reactions on HK’s X page were mixed and divided.
The G36 .22LR is here.
HK has once again partnered with Umarex of Germany to offer this realistic rimfire rifle version of the iconic G36 rifle. Many of the components are compatible with the original G36 including the handguard, sight rail, and stock. With the same legendary… pic.twitter.com/tiKT4gGx2n

B&T
Another highlight of the event was the B&T tent. Shooting PCCs and PDWs is always enjoyable, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try out several of their offerings. I had the chance to fire rounds from the APC223 PDW Tele and even a full-auto TP9 – experiences that truly stood out during the day.

Looking Ahead: The Gathering 2026
There’s no question about it – we’ll definitely be back for The Gathering 2026. For those in South Carolina or even nearby in North Carolina or Georgia, this event is a no-brainer. With a plethora of vendors, delicious food trucks, and short wait times, it’s a weekend well spent. And if you’re traveling from afar, consider spending an evening in Greenville, SC, to experience all the city has to offer.
Conclusion
It was a great weekend, and it’s awesome to see the effort PSA put into making this event a success. Whether you’re an avid shooter or just in it for the atmosphere, The Gathering 2025 was one for the books!
